Apple Vulnerabilities
Earlier this month we shared with you Apple’s latest release of security patches to address a zero day in the iPhone. Today Apple revised their security advisories to include 3 new vulnerabilities impacting iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
- The first vulnerability is a race condition (CVE-2023-23520) that could allow a threat actor to read arbitrary files as root.
- The other vulnerabilities are in the Foundation Framework (CVE-2023-23530 and CVE-2023-2353) and could be used to achieve code execution.
Your iPhone should have the latest update: iOS 16.3.1
Your iPad should have the latest update: iPadOS 16.3.1
Your macOS should have the latest update: macOS Ventura 13.2.1
How to check for new updates:
SensCy highly recommends turning on the Automatic Update on all Apple devices and products.
On your iPhone/iPad, go to the Settings App, scroll down to General, Click Software Update, Turn on Automatic Updates, and Download iOS 16.2
