City of Dallas Struck by Ransomware, Systems Still Down a Week Later
A hacker group struck the city of Dallas with a ransomware attack earlier this month, shutting down the city’s online systems and sending civil servants back to the days of radio communication and pen-and-paper notetaking. Even if the city chose to not paying the ransom, taxpayers will likely foot the bill for recovery from the attack.
