Google Chrome 116 Update

In today’s SensCy Cyber Alert, your SensCy team recommends Google Chrome Browser users to install the new Chrome Version immediately.

Google announced a new update for Chrome 116 to resolve a zero-day vulnerability that has been exploited in the wild.

The most severe vulnerabilities is CVE-2023-4863, is a heap buffer overflow in the WbP image format that could lead to arbitrary code execution or a crash.

The new patch comes after Apple released fixes for CVE-2023-41064. Here are the following versions after the update:

Chrome for Linux and Mac: 116.0.5845.187 Chrome for Windows: 116.0.5845.187/188

How to check for new updates:

For new Google Chrome updates, follow these steps:
1). On your computer, open Chrome
2). At the top right, click the ellipsis (three vertical dots)
3). Click Help and then About Google Chrome
4). Click Update Google Chrome
Important: If your Chrome browser is up-to-date, you will see a blue check mark and the words “Chrome is up to date.”
