Google Chrome Zero-Day

n today’s SensCy Cyber Alert, your SensCy team recommends Google Chrome Browser users to install the new Chrome Version immediately.

Google announced a new zero-day vulnerability that has been exploited in the wild.

The high severity vulnerability is CVE-2023-7024, is in the Stable Desktop channel.

Chrome for Windows, (120.0.6099.129/130) Linux and Mac (120.0.6099.129).

The vulnerability is due to a heap buffer overflow in the open-source WebRTC framework used by web browsers like Safari, Edge, Mozilla.

How to check for new updates:

For new Google Chrome updates, follow these steps:

  • On your computer, open Chrome
  • At the top right, click the ellipsis
  • Click Help and then About Google Chrome
  • Click Update Google Chrome

Important: If your Chrome browser is up-to-date, you will see a blue check mark and the words “Chrome is up to date.”
