MailChimp Data Breach

Published On: January 19, 2023Categories: Cyber Alerts

In today’s SensCy Cyber Brief, your SensCy team reviews the latest reports regarding a Data Breach at MailChimp. According to the press release, dozens of customers’ data was exposed due to a social engineering attack. The hackers accessed an account administration and internal customer support tool.

At the moment, we recommend MailChimp users enforce a password change on all MailChimp accounts, and ensure that Multi-Factor Authentication is enabled on the MailChimp accounts immediately. Follow this link for more information on enabling those security settings.

We will continue to monitor the issue and provide additional information when made available. In the meantime, feel free to reach out to your Cyber Advocate if you have any additional questions.
