Oracle Security Update

In today’s SensCy Cyber Alert, your SensCy team recommends Oracle users to apply the necessary patches. Of the 508 new patches, 75 are considered to be of “Critical severity” in Oracle’s quarterly set of security update.

Some of the vulnerabilities impact multiple products according to the Oracle’s advisory.

Financial Services received the largest amount of patches with 147, with 115 that can allow and unauthenticated hackers to remotely access the network.

Communication received 77 patches.

Fusion Middleware received 60 patches.

Other product impacted by this quarterly patch include Utilities Applications, Supply Chain, Retail Applications, Java SE, PeopleSoft, Siebel CRM, Commerce, Enterprise Manager, Construction and Engineering, E-Business Suite, JD Edwards. You can find the complete list here.

Oracle recommends to patch the necessary patches in a timely manner or to block network access to unpatch Oracle applications. It is known that unpatch Oracle products are highly targeted by hackers.
