Partnership offers discounted protection for SBAM members

LANSING, MI – To help small business owners protect their companies from cyber attacks, the Small Business Association of Michigan today has partnered with SensCy to offer cybersecurity support to members.

“More than ever, small business needs to be protected from cyber attacks,” said SBAM Senior Vice President Scott Lyon. “However, typically cyber solutions are too expensive and complicated for small businesses. This new partnership connects small businesses with cybersecurity services, at an affordable rate, from a Michigan-based company.”

SensCy’s mission is to improve the cybersecurity health of small and medium-sized businesses and organizations. In today’s digital world, data is a valuable asset and hackers are realizing that SMOs are significantly less protected than large companies with many resources. SensCy ensures that small businesses have the proper education, sound policy, best practices and a clear understanding of their cyberhealth—dramatically reducing the chances of a catastrophic cybersecurity event.

“We are thrilled to partner with SBAM,” said Dave Kelly, cofounder and CTO at SensCy. “Our sole focus at SensCy is improving the cyberhealth of small and medium-sized organizations and ensuring that they are prepared to respond should an incident occur. We are committed to providing SBAM members with an affordable, easily understood solution and the personal attention required to create a proactive cybersecurity culture. Our mission is to help small business owners sleep better at night by being their trusted guide to sensible cybersecurity.”

According to the Mastercard Trust Center, there was a 424% increase in cyber breaches within small businesses last year alone. At the same time 47% of small businesses say they have no understanding of how to protect themselves.

SensCy is made up of senior executives who have over 100 years of IT and cybersecurity experience and are recognized experts in their field. Company management also possesses extensive business and entrepreneurial expertise. The founders have started and managed multiple successful startups and have served thousands of customers.
